Alan Brozovich

Alan Brozovich (ze/hir/hirs) is an attorney on Barringer Law Firm’s Immigration Team.

Alan’s commitment to helping vulnerable communities began early in hir career.

Alan earned hir bachelor’s degree in Gender and Women’s Studies and Political Science with a minor in International Studies from the University of Denver and graduated from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in May 2021. During law school, Alan defended immigrants detained in removal proceedings before the Aurora Immigration Court with the University of Denver Immigration Law and Policy Clinic. In conjunction with hir work as a Student Attorney defending detained immigrants, Alan testified before Colorado’s General Assembly utilizing data synthesized from courthouses across the state. Hir work aided the passage of legislation prohibiting arrests at state and local courthouses of those accused of removal offenses. After graduation, Alan continued hir work with a law firm aiding immigrants in their pursuit family-based adjustments, asylum claims, and employment authorization. Ze has also published an article about non-binary identities in the workplace and presented about vaccination requirements in multistate employment contexts.

As a non-binary queer-identified attorney, Alan’s many years’ experiences working with LGBTQIA+, persons with disabilities, and immigrant communities in their pursuit of justice cements hir commitment to aid those who lack the resources and know how to engage with insurance companies and employers for rightful compensation for their injuries. Alan has represented noncitizens before USCIS, the AAO, and EOIR, specializing in waiver applications, controlled substance immigration matters, and challenging requests for evidence.

In hir spare time, Alan engages in powerlifting, cooks incredible vegan food, and spends time with hir partners. Ze also serves on the Board of Directors for the LGBT Center of Colorado.
